Pedodontics is an age specialty that provides primary and comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence including those with special health care needs.

Our postgraduate curriculum is specially based on the philosophy rendering treatment to children with commitment of gaining confidence and co-operation in kind and sympathetic manner. Upon completion of the course they will be able to differentiate between normal and abnormal somatic dent facial growth and development thus can accordingly plan the preventive and interceptive orthopedic and orthodontic correction. They will be specially trained in identifying the behavior pattern and accordingly customize the preventive and treatment program for children per se. They are responsible for providing treatment to mentally, physically and emotionally handicapped children and for those with medically compromised condition. We are equipped with minor and major OT to perform full month rehabilitation for these special children under sedation and general anesthesia. Being equipped with latest equipments they a get experience to work with rotary endodontic systems, magnifying loupes and conscious sedation unit as well. Overall, as pedodontist they not only will learn to diagnose, plan and treat the children up to age of 18 years in every aspect but also in a positive perspective towards oral health and dentistry.
