2-Day TPCODL training program on Solar Energy held at SOA
In an initiative aimed at making the nation self-reliant and self-sufficient in energy production, a two-day training program on ‘Grid Connected Roof Top Solar System’ was conducted at the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here on October 28 and 29.
Launched by the Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), the training program is considered the foundation for the successful implementation of the government’s flagship initiative, the ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana’ which has the objective of achieving the nation’s goal of promoting green energy and ensuring sustainable power generation from solar energy.
The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) was the training partner for this program in Odisha Distcoms as nominated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The program was held at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology.
The content of the program has been curated carefully to equip the Distcom employees with the essential technical skills and knowledge for the successful installation of rooftop solar system and its connection with Grids under applicable regulatory framework.
The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. Renu Sharma, Dean (Student Affairs), ITER, Mr. Budhish Kumar Behera, Senior General Manager (HR) and Head L and D, Odisha Distcoms and Mr. Motilal Senapati, Deputy Director, NPTI, Durgapur.
